Defense Technica gives tower defense a biomechanical twist

Devolver Digital lets loose a sci-fi tower defense title that pits you against an army of biomechanical beasts and powerful mechs, with only your robo-towers to stand in their way.

Personally, I don’t think it could be said better than Devolver’s CFO Fork Parker: “This country was built on the tenets of life, liberty, and tower defense with our forefathers giving their lives to defend high-tech cores from invading alien hordes,” said Devolver Digital CFO Fork Parker. “It’s each gamer’s civic duty to buy Defense Technica.”

Now, does that make sense? No. But does it stir the blood? Yes.

As you saw in the clip, developer Kuno Interactive’s Defense Technica is a very pretty tower defense title. Not only are the maps themselves nice looking, but the individual units and towers look really well animated and are pretty highly detailed. Kuno is promising that that the game will keep you on your toes too with a selection of weaponry for you to use and an environment that actually changes as you play. You can expect to see weather, enemy paths and even the landscape itself change as you attempt to defend those nuclear cores from the alien scum.

Revise your tactics, Defense Technica launches on Steam for the PC on October 24th. Act now and you’ll get a cool 20% discount on the game.
