Zen’s KickBeat out now in US, coming soon in Europe

Kick dat beat!! No seriously, kick it.

There’ve been a lot of rhythm games over the years, but I definitely haven’t seen anything like KickBeat. The game has a rhythmic combat play mechanic that’s extremely unique where you fight (which involves some serious kicking) to the beat.

Zen is undoubtedly a quality developer and is probably best known for their excellent Zen Pinball and Pinball FX  titles. The sheer amount of work that the company puts into the myriad of tables available for those gaming ‘platforms’ is astonishing and the end results are almost always as close to perfection as a pinball sim can be.

The company has been branching out into new territory for them recently though, with games like Castlestorm and now KickBeat. If they’re latest effort is anything like Castlestorm, gamers should be in for a treat.

Check out KickBeat on the PSN right now for either the PS3 or the Vita in the US. The game will be available in Europe on September 11th.
