Shadowman #10 (comics) Preview

Valiant reveals more of the mysterious origin of both Shadowman and Master Darque in a story that;ll take you “the bloodied battlefields of Gettysburg to the darkest corners of the Deadside”.

Long ago, in the antebellum South, Master Darque’s evil spawned the one thing that could stop him: the Shadowman. Discover how the Darques’ depravity has intertwined with Shadowman for more than a century and the betrayal that forged them both in this special standalone bookend to Shadowman’s first year in the Valiant Universe.

Capping off the first year of Shadowman with an issue that continues the origin story form the zero issue is a very cool idea and one that fans should be pretty happy about. Shadowman is probably the most mysterious hero on the Valiant roster even now in the wake of a huge event that actually spilled the beans on quite a few of the characters secrets and his lineage. Issue 10 is poised to open up the vault on not only the source of the Shadowmen (all of ’em), but also on the lives of Nicodemo and Sandria Darque, which should make for some very interesting reading.
