EA showed off DICE’s Battlefield 4 and announced some DLC that you won’t find anywhere but on the Xbox One.
Showing off the power of the Frostbite 3 engine, the Battlefield 4 demo shows a fight through one truly massive set piece- a sinking aircraft carrier. From there the action spills onto the open sea as the squad members face off against enemy craft and jets screaming overhead.
I was definitely one of those people who were tired of the ‘military shooter’ sub-genre… before I saw this demo. Battlefield 4 is absolutely visually stunning. I can’t even think of another word for it. This looks like the FPS at it’s best- smooth as silk and gorgeous with tons of huge moments.
After they were finished blowing minds, EA also announced that B4 will have some exclusive DLC on the Xbox One in the form of the Battlefield 4: Second Assault DLC pack. This pack will include a quartet of fan favorite maps from Battlefield 3, but re-imagined and re-created in Frostbite 3.
Battlefield 4 will be on the Xbox 360, PC and PS3 in October. Next-gen players shouldn’t have to wait too much longer than that as the game should appear on the PS4 and Xbox One in November.
