SI.com names the best Lucasarts games of all time

With new parent company Disney’s closure of Lucasarts, quite a few of the best games of all time are in a kind of purgatory. Whatever way Disney decides to go with these IP’s though, the fact remains that the company that George built made some of the greatest titles ever- period.

At first glance it might seem strange to see a website associated with Sports Illustrated do a piece on video games. When you think about it though, that kind of speaks to just how big some of Lucasarts’ back catalog really is and how those games have worked into the mass pop culture-mind in general.

So with that in mind, the folks at SI’s Extra Mustard blog recently took a look at what they think are the ten best Lucasarts games of all time. To say there are some greats on there might just be a massive understatement. How does Grim Fandango, The Dig, TIE Fighter and Maniac Mansion sound? Bringing back some good memories? Yeah, I thought they might.
