Feel the burn on Xbox

Fitness and health website  The Daily Burn has partnered up with Internet Explorer through the Xbox to  bring pretty much any workout you can imagine right into your living room.

Fitness ‘games’ that take advantage of the Kinect and other similar peripherals are one thing, but what The Daily Burn is looking to bring to the table is something else entirely. The site boasts some extremely wide-ranging workouts including dance, cardio, yoga, kettle bell and strength training.

Now through their partnership with Internet Explorer, The Daily Burn is available through the Xbox and can be synched to your tablet or smartphone. No, it’s not a game per say, but it is something very cool if you’re into working out. It’s also yet another signal of the convergence of all the things that set top box makers like Microsoft and Sony want their ‘consoles’ to become.

The Xbox 360 already offers games, television through pretty much every streaming video service, web surfing, and movie downloads – why not interactive workouts?

An Xbox in the home gym? Yeah, I’m down for that.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
