Check out 18 minutes of Rise of the Triad gameplay

Almost 20 minutes of ultra-fast running and gunning from Apogee and Interceptor Entertainment’s new Rise of the Triad revival. Old fashioned multiplayer gibbing? Yep.

I remember ROTT very well from the mid-90s. It was incredibly fast, loaded with completely ridiculous stuff, and very different from everything else that was out at the time. Now two decades later, and things are exactly the same on all fronts- especially in that there’s nothing else out right now that even comes close to the level of shooter insanity in that trailer.

We’ve also got a look at some of the multiplayer arenas that you’ll be fighting through in  ROTT with this little flyby video- complete with stunningly dramatic musical accompaniment.

And lastly this fine day, Interceptor has announced the complete multiplayer roster of playable characters. You can find the list here… but be warned internet traveler, it be flash based.

After all that ROTT-y goodness, you probably want to play Rise of the Triad right this very second. Well, hold that thought, because we don’t have a release date as of yet for the PC FPS. What we do know is that it should be out “very soon” and will cost you $14.99 USD when is.
