Telltale’s modern adventure masterpiece is on the way for retail box fans in some new territories.
The Walking Dead has amassed over 80 industry awards and now a whole new audience is about to get a taste of the title’s very unique take on a video game zombie apocalypse. Originally a download only affair, The Walking Dead went the retail box route for the Holidays in the US, but left the rest of the disconnected world (or just those who don’t dig digital downloads) high and dry.
Well, some of the globe can rest a little easier today (if that’s possible with zeds running about) as Telltale has announced that the game will soon be available in Europe, Australia and New Zealand in a boxed format. That lineup of countries also includes French, Italian, German and Spanish subtitled versions by the way… and I think there’s officially no excuse (save being too young) to not play The Walking Dead at this point.
The Walking Dead retail boxed version will ship with all five award winning episodes of the game and we highly recommend playing through each and every one of them if you’re even remotely into zombie horror (or The Walking Dead TV show or comic book). Watch for the walkers to invade the Xbox 360, PS3 and PC on May 10th.
