Lex Luthor lets loose in new Injustice trailer

The latest trailer for NetherRealm’s upcoming DC Comics fighting game showcases Lex Luthor’s LexCorp battle armor, his move set and what some of the motivations are for one of Superman’s biggest villains in a DCU turned on its head.

Today, Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment and DC Entertainment released a new video, spotlighting the brilliant but infamously ruthless arch nemesis of Superman, Lex Luthor, in the upcoming fighting game Injustice: Gods Among Us. Narrated by Luthor himself, this new video hints at his role in the mysterious organization known as “the regime” and gives insight into his motivations and allegiance in the ever-changing power struggle that exists in Injustice: Gods Among Us.
Luthor sums up his reason for joining the regime in one short sentence, “I always choose the winning side.”

The Elseworld (alternate universe, for the uninformed) set up in Injustice is turning out to be a very interesting one indeed for DC fans. The DLC and preorder bonuses floating around are pretty slick too as they pay homage to some monster storylines from through the years. It feels like the game is turning into an all around love letter to one of the oldest and most beloved universes in comics.

Get ready, Injustice: Gods Among Us will be smashing through store shelves on April 16th for the Xbox 360, PS3, and Wii U from Warner Bros.
