Leonardo Da Vinci is one of the most famous (and maybe infamous) figures from the Renaissance. Now the visionary artist is about to get his own show, courtesy of the STARZ channel.
Da Vinci’s Demons is an historical drama, so you can probably expect to see some fiction mixed in with your fact. That’s something I’m sure fans of Ezio’s adventures through the universe of Assassin’s Creed will feel right at home with. You can also probably expect to see some ‘awesome’ in there considering that the show is being created by none other than David Goyer. Remember him? He wrote those little Batman Begins and The Dark Knight movies.
Starring Tom Riley (“Monroe,” I Want Candy), as the title character, “Da Vinci’s Demons” is a historical fantasy, following the ‘untold’ story of the world’s greatest genius during his turbulent youth in Renaissance Florence. Brilliant and passionate, the twenty-five year old Leonardo Da Vinci is an artist, inventor, swordsman, lover, dreamer and idealist. As a free thinker, with intellect and talents that are almost superhuman, he struggles to live within the confines of his own reality and time. He begins to not only see the future, but invent it.
An interesting guy to say the least. Look for Da Vinci’s Demons to hit STARZ channel in 2013 with an 8 episode first season.
