New Bloodshot #0 arriving just before big screen debut

Vin Diesel’s Bloodshot is rapidly approaching its big screen premier, and there’ll be a new comic from Valiant on the racks to coincide.

Action galore

Bloodshot has been through a whole bunch of limited series’ at Valiant Comics, but that’s by design. The publisher pretty much exclusively produces its book in that way, soft-rebooting them almost once a year.

Now it’s once again Ray Garrison’s (Bloodshot) turn as Bloodshot #0 is heading to stands this February. Of course, that’s not the only thing starring the hero to make its debut in the second month of the year. The other being the movie adaptation starring Vin Diesel.

The film arrives on February 21st, but the new book debuts just two days before, on the 19th. Aside from a great jumping on point, it’s also the 150th issue of Bloodshot overall, and Valiant is using it to really restart the hero’s mission.

That includes a new creative team, of Tim Seeley and Marc Laming.

“Tim’s script was exciting, packed with action but also has a ton of heart and had a really interesting take on Bloodshot’s character,” stated Marc. “The zero issue has been a great challenge to draw and it has really stretched me artistically. I’ve tried to use some storytelling techniques I’ve not used before to best tell Tim’s story and I think it has paid off and I’ve produced some really strong pages.”
