SDCC: Martian Manhunter DLC dated for Injustice

The Manhunter is headed to NetherRealm’s Injustice: Gods Among Us before the end of the month.

Old J’onn is looking pretty sharp in Injustice with a whole bunch of his comic book powers and abilities intact for the one-on-one fighting game. It is the New 52 design for the character, but that’s still pretty darned close to his classic look so fans should be happy.

The Martian Manhunter pack also includes a compatibility update that’s packed with a bonus for Green Lantern fans- a skin of GL John Stewart. Probably best known for his huge role in the Justice League animated series, Lantern Stewart has been around for a long time and has a huge part in the current DC Universe, so it’s pretty cool to see him included in some way at least here.

Now all we need is Guy Gardner and Kyle Rayner and we’ll have a complete set of Earth Lanterns. With the first in a possible ‘Season 2′ of Injustice DLC arriving with Martian Manhunter, you never know- we just might get ’em.

And speaking of that, the Martian Manhunter pack is set to phase onto the Xbox 360 and PS3 versions of Injustice: Gods Among Us on July 30th. As for the Wii U edition, there’s no word yet so sit tight Nintendo/DC fans.
