Playstation 3 Firmware 4.46 released with detailed information on repairing crashed consoles

A new Playstation 3 firmware update has been released by Sony to repair consoles that were affected by the installation of the previous version.

Some Playstation 3 owners suffered problems with their consoles last week when a firmware update caused them to crash, as a result Sony have released a 4.46 patch along with information on installation for owners who were affected by the problem.

A guide is available for those of you without the XMB loading up, a step-by-step guide is available, which requiers a USB stick with 168 MB of free space so you can download the 4.46 update and install it manually after starting your console in safe mode. luckily for me, I haven’t been affected by this as I have spent most of my time playing PC games recently (Not trying to rub it in or anything).

About MrAwkwardOne

I've been a gamer since I was a child (which is going way back when) the very first console I owned was the Sega Master System, during my time as a gamer I have pretty much come across nearly every console including the Bally Astrocade(which requiered cassette tapes to play games) so I have broad range of knowledge when it comes to video games. My favourite game of all time is between Shadow Hearts (a rare gem of an RPG released for the Playstation 2) and Final Fantasy VIII.
