Castlevania: Lords of Shadow 2 coming out in the winter

The long awaited sequel to Konami’s re-imagining of the Castlevania series is to make its way for Playstation 3, Xbox 360, and PC in the winter.

The announcement was made during Konami’s pre-E3 show, in which it was shown during the trailer for the game (If you still haven’t played the first game then I suggest you don’t watch the trailer as it contains quiet a few spoilers). Bear in mind though, just because it is announced as this winter, it does not necessarily mean that it will be getting a release during 2013, winter does run throughout 2014 aswell afterall.

This time gameplay will feature a free moving 360 degree camera, as well as open-world roaming without any loading times, enemies will be tougher to kill this time, as you have to break down their armour before doing any actual damage to them. Making his return will be Zobek, who once again will be voiced by Patrick Stewart (Genuinely excited by this news, as a massive Star Trek: TNG fan).

As someone that has played the first Lords of Shadow, and enjoyed every minute of it, I’m really looking forward to seeing how developers MercurySteam plan on concluding this epic story.

About MrAwkwardOne

I've been a gamer since I was a child (which is going way back when) the very first console I owned was the Sega Master System, during my time as a gamer I have pretty much come across nearly every console including the Bally Astrocade(which requiered cassette tapes to play games) so I have broad range of knowledge when it comes to video games. My favourite game of all time is between Shadow Hearts (a rare gem of an RPG released for the Playstation 2) and Final Fantasy VIII.

  1. Can’t wait for this. I finished up Mirror of Fate a while ago (which was great BTW) and I really want to go back and finish the first one (never beat it) before getting into Lords 2. Konami’s doing a brilliant job with this series.

I’m a huge STTNG fan too BTW- Sir Pat can do no wrong 😉

  2. well without trying to give away any spoilers, the ending to the first game is darn epic, it’s well worth the time you put into it.

  3. Oh, I’m well past that.

Unfortunately, Mirror spoils the ending of the first game pretty much completely. Still, I’m glad I played it (’cause it rocks) and I still want to finish Lords 1 in spite of it 😉
