Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag takes a treasure hunt

Treasure hunts, Assassin Edward Kenway’s pirate ship and fast travel points are all pretty big parts of Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag. Check out all three in action in the new gameplay trailer for Ubisoft’s upcoming title.

Game director Ashraf Ismail paints a very alluring picture of the world in ACIV. It’s definitely something different for the series.

As ‘new’ as ACIII felt, ACIV almost feels like a completely new series and not even a game in the Assassin’s Creed universe. Don’t get me wrong there, it does look like it still has many of the familiar elements of Assassin’s Creed, it’s  just that there’s so much that’s new and the pirate mythos is so deeply interwoven into the game that it seems like something completely different at first glance.

I’m a big fan of the first few games in the series, but my interest started to seriously wane around the third title in the Ezio trilogy- ACIV however, is bringing me back. Looking good Ubisoft.

Find out just how different the latest Creed is when Assassin’s Creed IV: Black Flag debuts on the PC, Wii U, PS3/4 and Xbox 360/One this November the 1st (or thereabouts for the next-gen consoles).
