The PC edition of Gotham Knights gets detailed, and a new trailer

Warner Bros Games’ upcoming Batman-less open-world RPG Gotham Knights has a fresh look at the PC edition lined up, along with some details.

From the Belfry

So if you don’t know, Gotham Knights is not what you’d usually expect from a Batman-themed video game. For one thing, there’s no Dark Knight. As with a few other DC properties right now, Batman is absent from this adventure, and presumed dead. In his place, and left to protect Gotham, are his surrogate family, the titular Gotham Knights.

That’s a team that consists of Nightwing, Robin, Batgirl, and Red Hood. All four are playable in the game, and have their own stories to follow that lead each to be a protector of the city.

As you might expect, the game will be coming for consoles, but also the PC. And for that latter platform, we have some news today in the form of features. Namely, that the game will support high-quality visuals, including “4K resolution, ultra-high frame rate, ray-traced reflections as well as Nvidia DLSS 2, AMD FSR 2 and Intel® XeSuper Sampling (XeSS) for enhanced performance”. Not to worry if you don’t quite have a high-end rig though, as it’ll also allow for “expansive” customization options, including support for ultra-wide monitors and multi-monitor setups.

Here’s a look at it in action:

Gotham Knights features the Batman Family as players step into the roles of BatgirlNightwingRed Hood and Robin, a new guard of trained DC Super Heroes who must rise up as the protectors of Gotham City in the wake of Batman’s death. From solving mysteries that connect the darkest chapters in the city’s history to defeating notorious villains in epic confrontations, players will confront an array of challenges as they evolve into their own version of the Dark Knight.

Warner Bros Games press release

Gotham Knights hits the PC, as well as the Xbox Series X|S and PS5, on October 21st, 2022.
