FIFA ’22, Tribes of Midgard, Curse of the Dead Gods all hit for PS Plus

A solid month all around for PlayStation Plus gamers, that sees two well received indie games and the latest FIFA arrive for PS4/5.

Goal?

If you don’t know, we’re on the cusp of something brand new for PlayStation Plus gamers. Well, for most of them anyway. June 2022 will bring a pretty big overhaul of the now well-worn PS+ system though, with three tiers of subscription.

At its base level though, PS+ will still remain the same as always. So if you’re in on that level and looking to stay there, well you still have the same old perks as always.

And if this month is anything to go by, that should continue to be solid in terms of offerings. I have to say “should”, ’cause you never know. In any event, May 2022’s free subscriber games include three pretty good games.

FIFA 22 PS4/PS5

FIFA leads the way this month, with the latest edition of the long-running soccer title. I can’t say I know a whole lot about the sport, and I’m not going to pretend I do. That said, this series has been around for a while, so if you’re into it and have yet to play, now’s your chance.

Tribes of Midgard PS4/PS5

Then there’s Tribes of Midgard. An action RPG, this Norse-themed title mixes up the tried and true gameplay of its genre with survival mechanics and 10 player co-op (there’s still solo too).

Curse of the Dead Gods PS4

And finally this month, there’s Curse of the Dead Gods from Focus Entertainment. You might remember this one, because Curse was acclaimed at the time of its release.

A single player Roguelike (I may have lost a few of you there), Curse of the Dead Gods has a striking ‘animated’ look. It sends player into an ancient temple complex, now infested with evil, on the search for treasure.

So where’s the name come from? Well as you find lost relics, and use them to you advantage, you find that each one comes complete with a curse. And each of those influences your play-through.

All of the above should be live for subscribers and ready to download onto sporting consoles as of tomorrow, May the 3rd. Til then, you can always grab last month’s freebies.
