NACON and Teyon are back in old Detroit to deliver a standalone expansion for RoboCop: Rogue City called Unfinished Business.
Trouble then
Released at the tail end of 2023, RoboCop: Rogue City was a revelation for long suffering fans of the sci-fi property. Developer Teyon served up solid first-person robo-action with a cast that included actor Peter Weller as the title character.
The game also treated the license with the utmost attention to detail, setting its adventure squarely in the universe created in the movie series, with no apologies. And if you enjoyed the FPS action that it dished out, you’re definitely going to want to stay tuned for RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business.
First revealed a few days ago, RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business is an expansion that will build upon the original game, but that’s not to say that you’ll have to have a copy of that to play it. Instead, this expansion is of the “standalone” variety according to the publisher, and looks to be significantly different.
While Rogue City sent Murphy to serve and protect across the city, featuring action in several locales, Unfinished Business will deliver the hero to just one place. That would be Omni Tower, the home of OCP, which happens to have been overrun by a mysterious force of mercs in the wake of the base game’s campaign.
Following the success of RoboCop: Rogue City, which captivated over one million players, Teyon Studio calls the half-man, half-machine, 100% cop back into action with an all-new standalone expansion: Unfinished Business. To reach the top of Omni Tower, now overrun by elite mercenaries, players will have access to new weapons, brutal finish moves, and special missions. These missions will take them through intense flashbacks, offering the chance to play as Alex Murphy for the first time in a video game.
NACON press release
We don’t have a release date just yet for RoboCop: Rogue City – Unfinished Business, but fans can look for it to drop for the PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC some time this summer.
