Marvel set to bring all 6 Marvel Rivals online comics to retail this April

One of the hottest online multiplayer games in a long time, Marvel Rivals is cooking, and coming to the printed page soon.

Rival medium. Eh… kinda

So if you haven’t been paying attention, and we don’t see how you couldn’t have been, Marvel Rivals is a beast. The game hails from Marvel Games and NetEase Games, and brings together an ever growing collection of Marvel Comics heroes and villains for online, player vs player action.

While the game doesn’t have much of story though (and we’re being kind), the original home of its roster is about to see to that. Actually, check that, because they’ve technically already seen to that with a series of online comics that released for Marvel’s “platform”Marvel Unlimited” platform. Those hailed from the team of writer Paul Allor and artist Luca Claretti, and they’re not going to stay online-exclusives for long.

In fact, all of the above will be brought together for a special one-shot book, with April’s Marvel Rivals #1.

MARVEL RIVALS #1 thrusts readers into the Marvel Rivals Multiverse where a time rift has emerged in Tokyo 2099, damaging the Web of Life and Destiny. Now, two teams led by Peni Parker and Spider-Man are racing to save it—but they very different ideas on how to do that! The time rift makes rivals out of us all, but which team will overtake the other?

Combining the breakneck action of the game with classic Marvel Comics storytelling, MARVEL RIVALS #1 is must-have for both comic fans and the multitude of players worldwide who have made Marvel Rivals a global phenomenon! Check out all four covers and preorder the issue at your local comic shop today! For more information, visit Marvel.com.

Marvel Comics press release

As you can see above, Marvel Rivals #1 will include a quartet of cover options, when it lands on the stands this April the 2nd.
