As seen in the Star Wars: Ahsoka show on Disney+, the Night Trooper has gotten a brand new unboxing from Sideshow.
Nighty-night
Picking things up from the recent Death Trooper reveal is the Night Trooper, another member of Grand Admiral Thrawn’s undead army. While the themes of that force are similar to the classic Death Troopers novel, the origin of Star Wars: Ahsoka’s Dark Side zombies is a bit different nonetheless.
In the show, it isn’t a virus that reanimates the formerly dead legions, but the magic of the Night Sisters, with whom Thrawn has forged an alliance. These are a little different when it comes to abilities too, since they’re able to wield blasters, and if memory serves us, the zombie Troopers in the books were basically just mindless.
And if we’re talking differences, we’d be remiss if we didn’t’ add that the overall look is night and day. While the old Star Wars Expanded Universe characters were rotting away, Thrawn’s are properly uniformed, wearing repaired armor and adorned with red ribbons. Since we’re talking about the Hot Toys adaptations of that newer look, you’d best believe that all of the above has been worked in for what certainly looks to be a stellar new offering.
The new figure, which is shipping soon, will carry the base look from the TV show, and come packed with appropriate accessories. Check out the unboxing in the player below.
The meticulously crafted Night Trooper™ 1/6 Scale Figure by Hot Toys is a faithful recreation of the deadly Night Trooper as seen in Star Wars: Ahsoka™.
This detailed figure features laser-engraved armor with a crackle effect in metallic gold paint and delicate hand-wrapped fabric. This visually stunning design is enhanced with skillfully applied weathered effects, giving it a worn and battle-hardened look. The Night Trooper is ready for battle with two blaster rifles.
