A twin-stick, roguelike shooter that looks like it could’ve appeared on the SNES back in the 90s, Metal Mind is here.
Metal masher
We’re kind of suckers for games that look like they could have been right at home on the 16bit era of consoles. And even when a title uses a some modern magic in its presentation, and formulae along the lines of the ‘roguelike’, it’s still going to get our attention if it has an aesthetic like Metal Mind does.
From 2P Games and developer WHIRLLAXY LIMITED, Metal Mind stars a cute lil’ robot who’s out to smash a dystopian megacorp-ruled world, and free his self-aware robotic compatriots.
Dismantle a corrupt corporation composed of politicians, scientists, engineers, and secret agents aiming to enslave the world’s increasingly self-aware robots. Rebuild and rebel against the megacorp while freeing droid companions along the way. Steer the rebellion across four massive dystopian maps and battle eight cybernetic bosses on the road to freedom.
Manufacture a fully loaded mecha with a customizable transformation system. Test out specific tactics with an arsenal of more than 100 weapons, from chain swords to giant rail guns. Switch out core component mods for additional buffs, including reduced cooldowns, increased energy, faster firing rate, and more. Construct the ultimate steel warrior to take down hordes of brainwashed mechs protecting the labs and the brutal experiments within.
Crush metallic fiends as a close-ranged fighter swinging high-energy blades, lure enemies into traps with auto-locking rocket launchers, or transform into an iron bastion and wipe out mechanical foes with bouncing laser cannons. Discover dozens of builds with distinct playstyles, making each playthrough feel fresh.
