IMAX freezes over, as tickets go on sale for Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire

The latest Ghostbusters flick is coming up fast, and fans will be able to catch it in the biggest way possible, in IMAX.

Bright lights, big city

The boys are back, and so are the girls, as the new era continues to roll for the Ghostbusters. Landing in theaters next month, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire isn’t just a continuation of the film series, but it also brings over some of its themes from the classic cartoon for the first time. Pretty cool stuff, no pun intended.

If you’re a big Ghost-head, and you’ll be checking the film out on day one, then you might want to think about doing so on the biggest screen possible. Naturally, that’d be IMAX, and tickets just went on sale late last week, for showings beginning on the film’s general release day.

In Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire, the Spengler family returns to where it all started – the iconic New York City firehouse – to team up with the original Ghostbusters, who’ve developed a top-secret research lab to take busting ghosts to the next level. But when the discovery of an ancient artifact unleashes an evil force, Ghostbusters new and old must join forces to protect their home and save the world from a second Ice Age.

IMAX press release

Directed by Gil Kenan, Ghostbusters: Frozen Empire arrives in theaters on March 22nd, day and date with the IMAX edition. Fans can grab tickets to the latter here.
