Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle coming to retail for Xbox this year

A packaged version of recently released survival horror title Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is coming up for Xbox.

The Daymare continues

If you’re not familiar with Daymare, and you might not be since it’s kind of a niche series, it’s more or less a love letter to classic survival horror games. Yes, that includes the series that just popped into your head, though daymare does expand upon legacy horror themes, leaning towards sci-fi with the innovative Frostgrip.

The latest in the now-series was released last year, though at that time eschewed a physical launch for Xbox. Well for those who were waiting, and enjoy building up physical boxed libraries, you’re going to be in luck here in 2024.

GS2 Games has revealed that it will be serving up a retail edition of Invaders Studio’s title for Microsoft’s console, and it’ll be landing this coming spring.

Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle is a prequel to the critically acclaimed Daymare:1998. It follows Dalila Reyes, a special agent in the Hexacore Advanced Division for Extraction and Search (H.A.D.E.S.) unit as she investigates a sprawling, sinister military research facility buried deep underground. Dalila’s goal is uncovering the truth behind the horrors in the labyrinthine facility, if she can survive long enough to complete her mission. Along with mind-bending environmental puzzles around every turn, she’ll face blood-curdling monstrosities with only death on their mind – and who aren’t willing to stay dead.

GS2 Games press release

Xbox platforms will be getting their doses of Daymare: 1994 Sandcastle on April 9th, 2024. If you’d like to see what we thought of the PlayStation version in the meantime, click here.
