Now for something completely different. Dark Horse Comics is expanding the Stranger Things universe, out to the open ocean.
Sea change
Typically, Dark Horse Comics’ Stranger Things books have all had a link to the original Netflix show. We can’t think of any that didn’t at least have some of the characters from the episodic horror/sci-fi series in it. But that’s not the case for The Voyage.
A totally original tale, Stranger Things: The Voyage seeks to expand the ST universe in a potentially major way. It’s has no series characters crossing over, and it’s not set in the town of Hawkins. Actually, it isn’t even set on dry land.
From Stranger Things (comics) alums, writer Michael Moreciand artist Todor Hristov, The Voyage sets the horror afloat, in the frigid north seas…
Captain Jacoby is too broke to reject a shady deal from a group of Russians looking to get from Alaska back home on his freighter ship The Persephone, but things don’t go as planned. Storms, demogorgons, strange doctors, and more all threaten the crew of The Persephone and their passage in this new series.
