Out today for both PS4 and PC, Gammera Nest and Fire Raven’s Evil Below spins its stealth/horror yarn out of the PlayStation Talents program.
Evil down below
It was a day like any other. You were driving with your son when your car crashed. You barely remember anything that led to that accident but now your son is missing and all you can hear is an eerie voice whispering your name from below the ground. Your nightmare has just begun as you travel through never-ending forests, abandoned villages and claustrophobic caverns to retrieve your missing son.
Sony Spain press release
Evil Below might sound like a pretty typical horror title, but I feel pretty comfortable saying it definitely isn’t that. And the ‘why’ there is because it makes use of the PlayStation’s controller-mic for “unique puzzle solving and combat”. So yeah, that’s pretty different alright.
Players can expect 7 different areas, that’ll be open to explore. But while all of them are “interconnected” Evil Below isn’t quite an open-world game. So it also sounds as though it’s more of a directed experience.
If you’ve been itching for a little spook-out, then it just might do the trick. You an catch Evil Below on both the PlayStation and PC today, in base and Deluxe editions.
