Didn’t get enough gridiron action? Check out Blood Bowl III’s latest look

Coming up later this month, Cyanide’s latest go around with the Blood Bowl license is looking ready to field its team. Check out the latest gameplay.

This is Blood Bowl!

Always a fun spinoff from the usually dark and decidedly grim world of Warhammer, Blood Bowl III is en route to the PC and consoles later this month. If you missed it, NACON and developer Cyanide Studios had put together a little highlight reel last week, showcasing the title’s on-field action.

If you’re looking for up close and personal, bloody fantasy action (with a football bent of course), then you appear to have found it.

Featuring updated rules from the latest edition of the legendary board game, Blood Bowl 3 is a fantastic virtual experience based on the tabletop. The game will feature 12 factions at launch, including 4 playable for the first time in a Blood Bowl video game. Each faction has its own unique characteristics and related content. There are also single-player and multiplayer modes as well as more customization options than ever before. Every 3 months, a new season will start, adding unlockable rewards in the Blood Pass and a new playable faction.

NACON press release

As you can see, there’s a lot happening in Blood Bowl III. Not only does the game look fantastic, but the action has been refined a bit for the third outing of the series. Then there’s that Blood Pass, which should add some solid legs to the title, with the quarterly “season” refreshes.

All of this is coming up fast, as mentioned, with a February 23rd, 2023 launch. Look for Blood Bowl III on Xbox and PlayStation platforms, as well as the PC. There’s a Switch version in the pipeline too, but that won’t be along till later on.
