Disney Parks to get a Gentle Giant exclusive with new Jumbo Luke Skywalker figure

Available only at Disney theme parks, Gentle Giant’s newest Luke Skywalker ‘retro’ Jumbo Figure is in his celebratory best.

Cue the fanfare

The original Star Wars film (now known as A New Hope) is loaded with some of the most memorable moments from the classic trilogy. One of those is definitely the medal ceremony that capped it off.

We never got figures depicting those versions of the heroes of the Rebellion in the classic Kenner toy line, as odd as that might seem. But now Gentle Giant is seeing to that via its line of Jumbo Figures. Namely, with the addition of Luke Skywalker, complete with jacket and medal.

In a scene straight from the ceremonial chamber featured in Star Wars: A New Hope™, this Disney Parks-exclusive piece stands approximately 12 inches tall and features 5 points of articulation. It includes a blaster and a removable medal of bravery, and comes packaged on a retro-style card inside a resealable clamshell.

DST press release

As cool as he is, Luke is indeed a Disney Parks exclusive. And that means you won’t be able to get yourself one unless you visit Disney. Well, kind of. Gentle Giant LTD Premier Guild members will actually be able to order one online, as soon as he’s in stock.

That happens tomorrow (October 12th) for Master Members, and on the 14th for Apprentice Members. 2022/23 memberships are still available for that, and can be had for $150 USD (for the year). You can check out more about the membership here.
