Nintendo Download: It’s Always Sundae in Mario Kart

Mushrooms, start your engines. Mario Kart 8 Deluxe expands with its newest course pack, amidst a flurry of smaller releases this week.

This is definitely a ‘Mario Kart’ kinda week for Nintendo gamers, with the release of the second Booster Course Pack. Contained in that is an 8 pack of redone and new courses for the Switch racer, spread out over two new cups.

Pack 1 is out as well of course, and there will be another 4 such drops between the rest of this year and through 2023. If you’re an MK fan, it’s a heck of a lot of good-looking new content to play around with. If you’re not an MK fan though, well this week isn’t all that heavy on new stuff.

Not to say there aren’t plenty of smaller releases, because there are, but there really aren’t any that make an impact. Toy Soldiers HD might’ve been the one exception to that, but even though it’s still on this week’s release list, it’s not actually coming. It was delayed about a week back.

In any even though, here’s the full list of what’s new, maybe you’ll spot something that strikes your fancy:

• More Courses Hit the Track in Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Rev your engines because Wave 2 of the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe – Booster Course Pass DLC* is here! The second wave includes the debut of the delightfully sweet Sky-High Sundae course, nostalgic favorites like DS Waluigi Pinball and Wii Mushroom Gorge, and courses based on real-world locations like New York Minute and Sydney Sprint from Mario Kart Tour! A total of 48 remastered courses from throughout the Mario Kart series are racing to the Mario Kart 8 Deluxe game as paid DLC. Content will release in six waves of eight courses by the end of 2023.
