South Park: The Fractured But Whole has been nudged into 2017.
Fractured, and delayed
I have no idea why, but I was pretty sure this was going to happen. It probably had something to do with the fact that the first game, The Stick of Truth, was almost identically delayed. Prognosticating abilities aside though, this is a bummer.
Ubisoft’s sequel to the original South Park game that appeared a few years ago was looking great. With the same animation style (perfectly mimicking the show) and that staple sense of humor, The Fractured But Whole was looking to spoof the superhero genre like the original spoofed fantasy. If you’re a fan, it’s all but a certainty that you were looking forward to it.
Here we are though, with Ubi telling gamers that the game will sip out of Holiday 2016. The reason? I’m sure you could guess, but the company says that the game needs a little more time. So yeah, the usual.
As of now, there’e only a Q1 window for the rescheduled release. As usual too though, we’ll keep you in the loop when that changes to something a little more solid. You’ll eventually be able to grab a copy of South Park: The Fractured But Whole on the Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
