Beetlejuice, Beetlejuice… No need to say the ghost with the most’s name a third time (thus risking his appearance of course) since Mezco has but a pair of Beetlejuice collectibles ready for retail.
First up from toymaker Mezco is the famed bio-exorcist in soft, lil’ cuddly plush form. Well, sort of. This 8″ plush is soft alright, but he’s not really what I’d call cuddly. Mainly because he’s Beetlejuice.
Making a black and white striped suit fashionable way before Robin Thicke wore one, Beetlejuice has his trademark green hair and grimy visage which, yes indeed, bears a pretty nice resemblance to a makeup-clad Michael Keaton.
Joining the plushie is a 6″ tall rotocast figure which likewise mirrors Beet’s classic form. With an oversized noggin (as opposed to a shrunken one), Beetlejuice 8 points of articulation and ships in a collector-friendly window box, natch’.
The roto figure will be shipping in the September/October timeframe, and you can pre-order one for yourself right here as of this very minute. As for that plush Beetlejuice, he’s up for pre-order as well (here), and will ship in that same late third/early fourth quarter period.
