There’s Paper Jamming to be Done in This Week’s Nintendo Download

New releases like Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam team up with Virtual Console titles like Zack & Wiki: Quest for Barbaros’ Treasure to make for a solid week.

Today (9 PM PST) marks the release of Mario & Luigi: Paper Jam, the Paper Mario/Mario & Luigi cross-over RPG announced at E3 last year.  Critics have it on both sides of the board, with an overall Metascore of 78.

Super Mario Advance 4: Super Mario Bros 3, which is also packed-in with the classic Mario Bros, comes to the Wii U Virtual Console, continuing the odd GBA trend of launching on a home console.  Wii U also sees the VC release of Wii cult classic adventure game, Zack & Wiki: Quest For Barbaros’ Treasure, which utilized the Wii Remote controller to solve puzzles and navigate a dangerous island.

Minecraft: Story Mode (Episode 1) sees a Wii U release this week as well, to follow the Wii U port of the original Minecraft that came out last month.  Tell Tale’s adventure game gives fans of the genre two choices for the week- those who want to focus on the puzzle elements of the genre should stick to Zack & Wiki, but for a narrative itch, Minecraft’s Story Mode might be more your jam.

The Nintendo eShop is a cash-based service that features a wide variety of content, including new and classic games, applications and demos.
