Yes, really; Shaq returns to the video game work in Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn.
And there you have it. More Shaq-Fu.
Basketball legend, and star of the game, Shaquille O’Neal revealed the game at the Game Awards in Los Angles last night in an announcement that sees the long-lost title making it’s way back to gamers via developer Big Deez.
“It was a thrill to join in a celebration of gaming’s biggest triumphs with the long-awaited return of one of its most towering figures. We can’t wait for fans to unleash the fury of the Big Diesel himself when this wildly stylized take on Shaq-Fu finally arrives,” said Big Deez’s CEO, Matt Karch.
You know, it actually looks pretty fun, and Big Deez promises not only modern looks and sound for the side-scrolling beat’em up, but also plenty of humor (though that probably could have gone without saying). As to when you can expect to be playing this new epic Shaqtacular, the developers have a 2016 launch in mind.
Shaq-Fu: A Legend Reborn is set to arrive in digital format for the Xbox One, PS4, and PC (via Steam).
