Announced by Xbox’ Major Nelson (Larry Hyrb) on Twitter earlier today, the 1TB Xbox One console is heading back onto the production line.
Originally offered as a part of an exclusive Call of Duty: Advanced Warfare bundle, the 1 terabyte Xbox One console was something of a hit with its vastly improved hard drive over the standard 500GB systems. And now it looks like Microsoft will be making the expanded storage version of the console a staple, offering it as a bundle with Halo: The Master Chief Collection.
There’s a little more to it than just that too, as this bundle pack also includes the new controller, which looks almost identical to the old controller, but has a 3.55mm studio jack built right into it. This was a recent development for Microsoft, as all the previously released pads have had no such jack, needing an external adapter to accommodate one.
The controllers will be available separately at some point, though for right now this is the only way to get that 1TB hard drive without setting up an external one yourself. Available right now for pre-order from Amazon.com, the new Halo: The Master Chief Collection 1TB Xbox One console will set you back $399.99 USD and is expected to start shipping on the 15th of this month.
