Yep, it’s time to return to the Wasteland, Fallout 4 is very real. Update: Trailer and more after the break.
Forget all that below as we’ve got the official trailer for you, and here she is:
“We know what this game means to everyone,” said Game Director, Todd Howard, “The time and technology have allowed us to be more ambitious than ever. We’ve never been more excited about a game, and we can’t wait to share it.”
Wow, okay so that looked pretty amazing. And a tad darker than Fallout has seemed in the past… although I’m sure there’ll be plenty of the series’ staple humor in there. As a non-fan though, I have to say I’m more than a little impressed. There were some very cool things in that little video.
An open-world game, which you probably figured already, Fallout 4 was created under the watchful eye of director Howard and Bethesda Game Studios. A studio that you no doubt know very well from their last title, 2011’s The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. In any event, other than that trailer and the artwork that we’ve got for you in the gallery below, we still have next to nothing to tell you about the game.
There’s a reason for that, and that would be that Bethesda is saving all the good stuff for this coming E3 and their first ever live hosted press conference, which’ll be coming out of the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood, California on June 14th. You can catch it streamed live on that day at 7pm pacific via either Twitch or YouTube.
Original story below:
Okay so, temper that enthusiasm for just a second Fallout fans, because there’s really nothing to learn about the game just yet. Although, that might be fine since it probably only took news of the fact that it’s actually on the way to get you maybe a bit too excited here on this Wednesday morning.
Apparently, there was a piece of concept art (showing a workshop-type setting with Brotherhood of Steel armor and a dog) posted on an official site earlier today. Thing was, it wasn’t supposed to be up quite that soon as the timer on the countdown site is still very much running. So the whole thing was pulled ASAP, though we are still left with a live domain to click over to nonetheless, and the name is quite telling. It’s Fallout4.com.
Fallout: New Vegas might’ve hit in 2010, but it’s been a good long time since a numbered Fallout title was released, as 2008 saw Fallout 3, and fans are literally foaming at the mouth for more. So it’s pretty safe to say that this is a big deal. A big, BIG deal. Like, a nuclear-powered deal.
As of now, and thanks to that brief site appearance, all we know is that F4 will be coming to the PC, PS4, and Xbox One. We don’t know when, or pretty much anything else, but I’m thinking all that will change by the end of the day today. Stay tuned.
