Microsoft Reveals Three Editions for Halo 5: Guardians

‘Tis the season to buy video games. Between the big name holiday releases and the Annual Steam Winter Sale it’s hard to hang on to your wallet, but make sure to put some money aside for the Halo 5: Guardians Limited Collector’s Edition.

Microsoft will be releasing three editions of Halo 5 next December 31st. Players can ring in next New Year’s with the Standard Edition, Limited Edition, or the aforementioned Limited Collector’s Edition. The Limited Edition will include new digital content that will allegedly enhance combat as well as exclusive items. The Limited Collector’s Edition includes everything in the Limited Edition “as well as additional content that includes a commemorative, numbered statue designed by 343 Industries.” Microsoft is being very vague about the additional content and timed exclusives. This is troubling considering the price tags associated with each edition. The Limited is $40 more than the Standard and the Limited Collector’s is a whooping $249.99 total. Even as a fan, that is a lot of money to pay for nebulus perks. Hopefully more details on the additional content are revealed as we approach the release date. The good news is the Standard Edition currently comes with a $10 Xbox gift card code with pre-order. Right now only time will tell, but here’s to looking forward to a great release next year.
