Valiant announces Armor Hunters mini-series for 2014

It’s going to be from the frying pan (with Unity) into the fire for Aric of Dacia and his X-O Manowar armor in 2014 as the Armor Hunters are coming for his head.

When Aric of Dacia returned to Earth with the stolen X-O Manowar armor of an alien race, he thought he finally found a weapon to guard the peace and kingdom he’d struggled so long to secure. But now, a relentless and surgical strike team from the farthest reaches of space – sworn to exterminate the armor and all like it – have found their final target. The ARMOR HUNTERS are coming. They will hunt. They will trap. They will kill. And they will rid the universe of the X-O Manowar’s incalculable destructive power…even if it means taking the Earth with it.

X-O has been through a ton as of late, but he ain’t seen nothing yet as the Armor Hunters, an assemblage of alien ‘heroes’ who are hunting down armor-wearers throughout the galaxy, have come a calling. It’s probably a good thing then that Aric will have Unity at his side, but even with a super-powered group of heroes at his side, this miniseries gonna present a fight to shake the universe.

Armor Hunters #1 (of four) launches in June from Robert Venditti and Doug Braithwaite and will continue into the Unity and X-O Manowar monthlies, but it won’t stop there. Valiant says to watch for more heroes from it’s pantheon to enter the fray as the Armor Hunters are looking like they might just be the first big threat to assail Valiant’s heroes. This looks like big-time Summer crossover material guys and gals and if Valiant’s track record is anything to go by, it’s gonna be a doozy.
