Shadow Man scares up a return to the PC

Classic action/adventure title Shadow Man (based on the first iteration of the Valiant Comics hero) is back in action on the PC thanks to GOG.com this week and it’s packing some limited time bonuses.

This one is a favorite of mine from the Nintendo 64, so I’m pleased as punch to see that Shadow Man has arrived on GOG. Originally seeing release in 1999, Shadow Man was pretty well received when it debuted and scored big with players too. It was also (and still is) one of the only games to be released for anything that starred Valiant Comics characters, so for that alone it’s worth a look for fans of the Valiant U.

Now, this is a different Shadow Man than the current incarnation, but as you can see there are plenty of similarities including the fact that Shadow Man has to forge his way through the Deadside. And just to sweeten the pot for current fans of the character, GOG is offering a few goodies to those who pick up the game. Players who buy Shadow Man from the digital storefront will not only be getting the game (100% DRM free I might add), but also a free digital copy of Shadowman #1 from comiXology and a $5.99 discount (which is actually the price of the game) on a Shadowman t-shirt. For Shadow-fans, deals don’t get much better than that.

The free extras are only good for a week though. And since the game released yesterday, you’ve only got six days to collect on your goodies. Ready to delve into the Shadows?
