Go behind the scenes for the second design doc for Sega’s Castle of Illusion remake

Documentary #2 takes you behind the development veil to see more of how Sega is updating a classic with the all-new Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse.

I was a fan of the original Castle of Illusion from way back on the Genesis and the remake is looking pretty sharp. I like the road that Sega is going down too since they’re not reinventing the wheel here- just updating the same classic game that a ton of gamers fell in love with years ago.

These design documentaries never fail to interesting either. There’s so much that goes into making a game like Castle of Illusion; especially when you’re trying to pay homage to a classic and come up with a look that today’s audiences are going to find current.

Castle of Illusion Starring Mickey Mouse launches on Xbox Live, the PSN and the PC later this Summer from Sega.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
