Preview: Amala’s Blade

Dark Horse Comics announces a steampunk sword & sorcery tale like no other with Amala’s Blade: Kicking Assassin.

A post-apocalyptic, sword & sorcery comic loaded for bear with steampunk elements? Why not! Oh, and there’s  ghostly monkey too. Sure. Of course there is. I have to say, I’m (obviously) not all that familiar with the Amala’s Blade series from Dark Horse.

Spinning out of Dark Horse Presents numbers 10 through 12, Steve Horton and Michael Dialynas’ Amala’s Blade follows an assassin named Amala through a world that’s become a wasteland. In the midst of a never ending war between the Purifiers and the Modifiers, Amala was meant to be the one to unite both factions in peace… till she disappeared.

Following the original stories from DHP early last year, Amala’s Blade: Kicking Assassin picks up with swords and steam aplenty.
