Rachel stars in the new trailer for Resident Evil Revelations

Debuting on consoles soon, the formerly ‘3DS only’ Resident Evil Revelations  will be packing a few new tricks up its soggy sleeve including a pair of new characters for the game’s Raid Mode. The ill-fated Rachel being one of them.

Yes it’s Rachel vs… whateverthatis-Rachel! Maybe it’s all just a metaphor for life. You know, maybe the big-haired (how doe s she see anyway?) Rachel is battling the monster within? Maybe Raid Mode takes place… in her mind. Or not.

Also joining the Raid will series mainstay Hunk, who first popped up in an RE title way back in Resident Evil 2 on the PSOne. Somehow, he’s stayed relevant to fans all these years even without having done much of anything in the RE universe. Can you say Boba Fett?

In any event, the new additions to Raid Mode are just part of what Capcom has tacked onto the console and PC version of Revelations. Also due are new enemies, a harder difficulty mode, and integration with residentevil.net. Look for Resident Evil Revelations to hit the PC, Xbox 360, Wii U, and PS3 on May 21st in North America.
