Modern Warfare expands with Season 1 today

The first ‘season’ of DLC has arrived for Call of Duty: Modern Warfare. Get ready for classic maps reborn, a new mode, and more.

The war gets bigger

Raging ever onwards is Activision’s soft reboot of Modern Warfare. The series has made a triumphant return with the latest game, released last month, and seems a hit with fans.

Of course, there’s a selection of downloadable content to go along with the base game, and so far it’s looking fairly robust. The first offering, Season 1, is here as of today, and includes a bunch of new additions.

Chiefly among those are a pair of classic maps, reborn for the new game. There’s much more though. Developer Infinity Ward has packed in a fresh mode of play called Cranked, as well as a new Operator named Nikto, and “new Special Forces experiences”. If you’ve yet to play the game and don’t know what those are, they’re basically continuations of the story.

Digging Season 1? It’s out now across all of Modern Warfare’s platforms. That’s right, there’s no window of exclusivity for this one. If you have a copy of MW, you can buy into the expansion and get playing.
