X-O Manowar to return the Valiant U this March

The most powerful superhero in the Valiant Universe is back. X-O Manowar is landing on the racks in an all-new series this March.

The Manowar returns

Coming off of an epic run that concluded some time ago is Aric, otherwise known as X-O Manowar. The Visigoth king trapped in the modern age Valiant U has taken some time to himself, but is ready to return to action on the printed page in 2020.

The new series will come from the team of Dennis Hallum and Emilio Laiso. If you don’t recognize the name of that writer by the way, it’s because he used to go by the pen-name Dennis “Hopeless”. I’m sure he rings a bell now.

He’ll be spinning take that sees Aric of Dacia battling a futuristic threat that “arises to destroy the planet”. Valiant is promising “overwhelming odds” too, so the new tale may actually present a challenge for the massively powered hero. Then again, this is Aric we’re talking about.

“In this first issue there’s everything… story, comedy, surprises. I’m sure it’s going to be great reading.”

Emilio Laiso

It’s also going to be some solid eye-candy, as Laiso’s art is sharp indeed. Check out the unlettered preview pages below for a taste of what’s to come. Then check out X-O Manowar #1 when it hits the stands on March 25th, 2020.

About Jason Micciche

Jason's been knee deep in videogames since he was but a lad. Cutting his teeth on the pixely glory that was the Atari 2600, he's been hack'n'slashing and shoot'em'uping ever since. Mainly an FPS and action guy, Jason enjoys the occasional well crafted title from every genre.
