Nintendo Download: Breakdance Your Way to Victory

Yes, there’s a breakdancing game, but WWE 2K18 is also finally landing on the Switch this week (among other things).

The 80s are back

Not that any of the stuff in this week’s Nintendo Download is “80s” themed really, but we’re talking breakdancing and wrestling here. I mean, that’s pretty 80s, right?

Heading this week is Floor Kids, the breakdancing “dance battle” game. Honestly, it sounds pretty different, and that’s neat. The End is Nigh also lands this week, and that’s on that’s been a long time coming. I’m sure there are a few Nintendo gamers who’ve been waiting for it.

There are a few other titles as well, but out of all of them I’m most pumped for WWE 2K18. I’ve already seen some cold water dumped on this game, as it is with every WWE 2K release it seems. But still, as an old school wrestling fan I can’t not be excited about playing a WWE title on a Nintendo system once more.

Nintendo was the platform of choice for me in my days as a fan, from the NES through to the SNES, and the glory days of the N64’s WCW and WWF games. Those games were pure grapplin-heaven. And I know that this game isn’t in the same category as those classics, but still.

I can’t help but being a little excited to play it. Especially in handheld mode. How ’bout you? See anything that you’ll be downloading this week?

  • WWE 2K18 – The most realistic WWE video game experience just became more intense with the addition of eight-man matches, a new grapple carry system, new weight detection, thousands of new animations and a massive backstage area. A new rendering engine also gives WWE 2K18 a visual overhaul and will bring the drama of WWE to life like never before.
