Ea and BioWare’s rebirth of the Dragon Age franchise is looking hotter than dragonfire (which apparently turns people into jerky).
How’s that for a hot one? That’s gameplay footage by the way. Yep.
After DA2, most fans were left wondering what the future might hold for a franchise that debuted with so much promise in the excellent Dragon Age Origins, but they really shouldn’t be worrying too much after that trailer. There was a heck of a lot of awesome in that vid and it all looks great, and the premise not only sounds cool, but seems like it’s going to be loaded with stuff to do.
Gamers take the role of an Inquisitor and assume command of a group of rough and tough fantasy types as they try and figure out what’s happening in the kingdom of Thedas and with the giant rift that’s threatening to consume the entire world. Just the fact that there’s a team behind you adds a lot of possible story elements and really opens things up since you’re not a ‘lone protagonist’ in the world of Inquisition. In what’s going to be a crowded field of awesome-looking RPG’s this Fall, that alone just might do a lot to separate the newest Dragon Age from the herd.
And this Fall is exactly when the long-awaited return of Dragon Age to the gaming landscape will occur. Dragon Age: Inquisition will arrive for the Xbox One/360, PS4/3, and PC this October the 7th in the US and on the 10th in Europe.
