Blood Bowl II’s Dark Elves are kind of nasty

Stabbings, beatings, kicks to the face… I must be talking about the Dark Elves in Cyanide Studio’s upcoming Blood Bowl sequel.

Yes, Blood Bowl 2 is turn-based strategy, but it’s the fastest and most brutal turn-based strategy title that you’re likely to come across. I mean, those poor Dwarves didn’t stand a chance in the face of a full frontal assault from the purple & black. Interesting to note too, that while the High Elves prefer to pass the ball, their Dark Elf cousins would rather engage in a running assault. With their quickness and agility, it makes them staggeringly effective.

And while the Dark Elves are pretty clearly one of the more impressive teams on the roster for the game, they’re far from the only ones. The full game will offer a full stable of Games Workshop’s best from out of the Warhammer universe, and offer even more if you pre-order.

Pre-ordering will nab the Wood Elves or the Lizardmen, depending on whether you buy the game on the PS4 or Xbox One respectively. Pre-ordering on the PC? Then you get your pick and access to the multiplayer beta that kicks off a few weeks before the general release.

As to when that might be, PS4, Xbox One, and PC players can all look forward to heading back to the high fantasy gridiron on September 22nd.
