The first real look at the soon-to-be re-released Resident Evil 0 is here, and yep, it’s still creepy.
A part of Capcom’s latest effort to mine its past catalog, Resident Evil 0 first launched as a Nintendo GameCube exclusive back in 2002. Set even further back in time than that (1998), the game tells the story of the events that set up the original Resident Evil, this prequel put the spotlight on STARS medic Rebecca Chambers and a fugitive named Billy.
Set on a rickety old train and in some familiar confines for fans of the long-running horror series, RE0 is a throwback to the more traditional, zombie fighting days that the series has sort of gotten back to with the Resident Evil Revelations series and, to a degree, RE6. Simply put, if you haven’t played RE0 and you love old school Resident Evil, then you kind of need to take a look at this one.
Featuring all new visuals running in 1080p with remastered sound, as well as a new control scheme, Resident Evil 0 stalks the Xbox One, PS4, Xbox 360, PS3, and the PC for an “early 2016” release.
