Survival horror never sounded so creepy as in Alien: Isolation

Creative Assembly is  intent on getting everything right in Alien: Isolation, and that includes the sounds.

Although in space, no one can hear you scream, Creative Assembly and Sega are putting as much effort into the sounds and musical score of Alien: Isolation as they are the looks.

Sound design can often play second fiddle to the graphical component of games, but it’s really no less important when you consider a title like Alien: Isolation. Not the all-out action affair that Alien games usually are, Isolation is centered on creating a sense of dread and fear. One of the best ways of doing that is through sound. The player can hear what’s coming, but not see it; and in the case of a xenomorph, that’s a very scary thing indeed.

Alien: Isolation is set to spook audiences just in time for Halloween, on October 7th. Look for it on the Xbox One/360, PS4/3, and PC.
