Deathwish Enforcers heads back to 1969 for some classic side-scrolling action

Classic action and the films of the 70s and 80s are the stars of Deathwish Enforcers, so get ready to kick crime to the curb on PlayStation and Switch.

Well… go ahead… PUNK

Deathwish Enforcers is actually meant to be a “spiritual successor” to the all-time classic action title Sunset Riders. Remember that one? Well if you do, then DWE is definitely going to hit some familiar notes.

And if not, then really all you have to know is that this new title from Limited Run Games and Monster Bath Studios is crafted in the classic mold. Players can look for 7 levels of running and gunning action, as well as 4 player co-op, and some funkadelic tunes from composer Gryzor87.

Check it out:

It’s 1969, and an evil crime syndicate is trying to take over the streets of San Francisco. As part of the city’s elite police force, the “Deathwish Enforcers,” it’s your duty to bring down the scum that litters your streets in any way possible! In this parody of classic action films of the ‘60s and ‘70s, venture through drug-filled streets, tame undead-filled cemeteries, take on biker gangs, and beat the crap out of criminals for power-ups in this gritty, non-stop blood bath from the creator of Insanity’s Blade and Super Battle Princess Madelyn.

Limited Run Games press release

Ready to take out the trash? Then lock and load, as Deathwish Enforcers is out right now in digital format for the PS4, PS5, and Switch. Want something a little more… physical? Well, you’re covered there as well.

Remember, this game is coming out of Limited Run Games, so of course there’s a physical disc/cart on the way. Fans can look for pre-orders right now via LRG’s online shop, though you might want to be quick if you want one. Pre-orders close up on May 14th.
