Loaded with some of the most taxing games to ever hit the PC, the remastered Crysis trilogy is about to land on Steam. They hit next month.
Funny what time does
If you’re a PC gamer with any history, then you likely remember the hubbub around Crytek’s FPS Crysis. The original game in the series was kind of a big deal at the time after all, as it was playable only on high-end PCs. And you could forget about consoles, as it wasn’t anywhere to be found on any of them.
Well, fast-forward 15 years, and not only are all three Crysis games on pretty much everything, but they’ve also all gotten remasters. That includes for the PC, with an Epic Game Store edition that arrived right alongside the console versions.
But as you’re no doubt aware, there are some game fans who aren’t crazy about that PC gaming platform. If you’re one of them, and you’ve been wanting to indulge in a little remastered Crysis, then you’ll be happy to know it’s on the way to Steam, in short order.
The games will hit Valve’s service on November 17th, and sport a pretty cool option too. It sounds like, if you want to, you can crank Crysis up to 11 just like in the good old days.
Crysis Remastered Trilogy features all the action-packed gameplay and high-octane battles in sandbox levels the series is known for updated with improved lighting and visually enhanced characters, weapons, and environments, plus high-definition textures for crystal clear images. The remasters also feature ray tracing and substantial performance improvements. Gamers can choose to lock in their frame rate or push their PC to the limits and play on maximum settings.
