Making his “magnificent” return to the pages of Marvel Comics is Conan the Barbarian. Here writer Jason Aaron talks about why he’s so excited to be a part.
Lamentations
Conan is maybe the single biggest character in fantasy literature. I think that’s fair to say. And now, once again, he’s being published by Marvel Comics.
Recently, we’ve seen some of what the company has in store for the famed warrior, both in the Marvel U proper and in his own realm. Now we get a little more insight to what’s coming though, thanks to writer Jason Aaron.
Aaron is a big time fan of the character himself, and should give potential readers a little comfort that their favorite Cimmerian is set to be treated right.
So it’s set to be ab original villain for Conan’s first steps back into a Marvel-published book. Honestly, while I love a good deal of the villains and creatures that’ve graced his books in the past, that’s probably a good idea. After all, how many times can you tell the same old tales (as great as they are)?
After not really being all that excited about this, I’m cautiously optimistic. Conan the Barbarian #1 hits stores this month.
